WOODLANDS JOAD CLUB
JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) programs are designed to promote archery. JOAD is open to archers between 8 and 20 years and AAP is open to archers 21 and up. All skill levels ranging from recreational to competitive shooters are welcome.
Recurve, Barebow and Compound archers are taught archery range safety, the basic steps of shooting, proper technique, tournament preparation, and other skills required to have success in the sport, in an environment that fosters focus, increase self-confidence, and team building skills.
PRACTICES
Woodlands JOAD/AAP practices are for our registered archers to practice together and improve on skills they are working on. Our coaches are available to help archers hone their skills in a group setting. We will practice for upcoming tournaments, go over basic archery skills, play archery games, and have JOAD pin shoots. Archers that join our club MUST have their own equipment.
